3 Fall Social Media Trends
Written by Alanna Moore
If there’s one thing we can say about social media (although we can say many things), it’s that it’s constantly changing. It seems as though every two minutes, there’s a new social media trend coming to fruition. You can either let that fact scare you or embrace it — and we’re filling you in on some current trends to have you properly prepared for fall 2022!
Video Collages
Anyone who has opened Instagram or TikTok in the last few weeks has surely seen at least one or two video collages and their popularity isn’t likely to slow down. Similar to Instagram reels, video collages incorporate sound and visuals together, making our senses happy. The difference between the two is that reels involve videos or photos one after another, whereas a collage involves cropping videos and photos and putting them one on top of each other. Wanna get in on this new social media trend? There are all kinds of apps that you can download to help you create an aesthetically pleasing collage to share with your followers or clients. Getting Personal
Turns out, being yourself online (and offline, of course) is still in style — and we hope it never goes out of it! Doing things like “a day in the life,” posting behind-the-scenes content, sharing memes that you or the people in your company relate to are great ways to show your audience who you really are and a little authenticity goes a long way.
Instagram Notes
Whether you like them or not, it seems like Instagram notes are here to stay. But honestly, whether it’s for your personal brand, your company, or a client, you should see them as beneficial. Notes are only able to be up to 60 characters long, so much like a tweet on Twitter, you need to keep your message short and sweet — making it a quick and easy way to let people in on any updates, events, or questions you may have. Not to mention, according to Darshil Patel, a full stack engineer who’s beta testing Instagram notes, “the notes will get more visibility than stories or DMs.” So, they’re also an excellent way to get more reach.
