BMG's Favorite Editing Apps

Written by Trinity Duong

With social media being the forefront of Brand’s Media Group’s image it’s hard to imagine the team’s influence on applications without the help of separate editing apps. Editing is more than half the fun when creating a post or story for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest… you name it. Due to the huge influence, each team member has in their own private and professional field on social media it would be rude to gatekeep the applications we hold so dear to our hearts. Therefore, we will be sharing our personal touches and applications that we use to enhance our little corner of the internet.

Sharon Brand is the founder of Brand’s Media Group with over eight years of experience in communications, digital, and influencer marketing within the fashion sector so you can bet that when she creates content that it approaches the world with class, professionalism, and big smiles. Brand has expressed her fondness for two editing apps, VSCO and Unfold.

VSCO is an application that values artistic expression the most and offers creators photo and video editing tools as well as a public space to garner inspiration. With this app, you can import raw photos and videos and use a variety of editing tools such as Contrast or Saturation and even offers options such as Grain and Fade. Unfold gives users a place to create engaging brand-level content. They offer custom fonts for stories as well as color palettes, stickers, and logos. They offer a huge range of designs from collections and use advanced text tools that you can export to share on other platforms.

Jasmine Bellini is one of the community managers of Brand’s Media Group with over two years of experience in social media marketing. Her posts range from a color grid aesthetic with a huge emphasis on luxury. Bellini’s go-to editing apps are Lightroom,  Photoshop, and Facetune.

Lightroom is another level to photo editing with a photo editor and camera app that helps you capture and create powerful and professional images. They offer retouch on full-resolution photos and have easy photo properties that you can control from your phone screen. Photoshop is also created by Adobe but has other features that are must-haves. This app delivers a full spectrum of photo effects through the personalization of borders, texts, color, collages, and so forth. Facetune is often mistaken as a selfie retouching app but it’s so much more. It’s a personal glam squad in your back pocket and offers blemish covering lighting correction and can upgrade your makeup at the touch of a button. Nothing’s better than having a clean feed and this app offers effects such as whitening and smoothing out unwanted textures and yellows in your background.

Annabelle Irakiza is one of the community managers of Brand’s Media Group with experience in public relations and communications management and has hopes to put her four years of experience in social media towards Brand’s Media Group. Her posts are great influences for positivity and you can see many artistic traits that stem from drawings, to feel good quotes to peaceful homelife. Irakiza’s favorite applications to curate her Instagram are VSCO and Photoshop.

Trinity Duong is one of the contributor writers who manage her personal and professional Instagram and has vast knowledge in visual curation as she is currently studying Art, Media, and Technology at Parsons Paris. Duong’s posts go for a bolder nature focusing on darker and neutral tones with pops of color. Her go-to editing applications are UNUM and VSCO.

UNUM is a photo and video editor for social media and helps produce a powerful branding tool and template for users to organize their Instagram feeds. It helps you create and plan content for a range of apps and allows you to publish content whenever and wherever.

Noyonika Sircar is one of the contributor writers and is currently enrolled at Parsons Paris for a Masters's Degree. Her love for social media has never wavered and you can find her photographing just about everything to get the perfect post. Sircar’s favorite editing apps are Lightroom and VSCO.
