3 Ways To Stay Consistent With Your Content Publishing

Written by Alanna Moore

When it comes to your business' social media content, consistency is key. But without a proper game plan, creating consistent content may seem harder than it needs to. As a social media agency, we take pride in our ability to create content weeks — even months — in advance, for both our own account and our clients’ pages. In the spirit of helping small business owners, we’re filling you in on how we go manage to stay consistent in hopes that it helps you do the same

Plan Ahead

The first step to creating quality content is planning what you want to make it about. Which subjects does your business want to start conversations about? Who do people in your team look up to? What’s happening with your company during the upcoming season? These are the types of questions you and your teammates can ask each other when planning content ideas.

Never underestimate the power of a quick brainstorm with your team. If you find yourself failing to come up with ideas, Pinterest is there to save you. Simply search “content ideas” and a myriad of posts with different content suggestions will be at your disposal.

Batch Create

After you spend time brainstorming content ideas, it’s time to bring those ideas to life. At Brand’s Media Group, our favourite website to make content on is definitely Canva — but there are all kinds of sites out there to help you create beautiful, unique content. You just have to find which one works best for you and your graphic design plans!

Then once you’ve found a content design site that you like, you can start making all visuals you came up with at once. The more the merrier in this case — so you never have to worry about running out of content.

Schedule Your Content

While this may sound like an obvious one, sometimes we forget to do the most obvious things in life. Scheduling your content takes an extreme weight off your back and ends up saving you lots of time in the long run. Making a content calendar and sticking to it is a must when it comes to remaining consistent with your posting.

There are many apps out there that allow you to schedule your content in advance — Planoly is our go-to. Plus now, you can also now schedule content directly on Instagram, so no need for an external app if you don’t want to use one!
